Wholesale Peace Rings

"The modern-day peace symbol we all know today was first designed for the British Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament in the year 1958 by pacifist Gerald Holtom. This was in protest of nuclear weapons where Holtom believed the symbol would make their message of peace stronger. He was indeed right because soon after his symbol was then adopted by the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament which then went on to become of the most recognized symbols in history.

The way this design came about was by the way Holtom utilized the semaphore alphabet which was used as a form of communication by sailors who communicated from a distance using flags. The bottom portion of the symbol represents the letter N for nuclear while the line going through represents the letter D for disarmament, together forming a symbol standing for peace. Here at Wholesale Silver, we carry with pride and joy this symbol of peace with our selection of peace sign rings.
